Nice find and I like where it letters to. Interesting that it is a 1 1/2" barrel and it shipped from the factory in a box labeled as 3" and yet a "2" for 2" was transcribed over the 3, and in error as the barrel length on this one is 1 1/2". Presumably at the factory or were there labels for 1 1/2" barrel length revolvers?

Due to the rarity of the 1 1/2" 38 New Departures, I presume any box that it would fit it it was shipped in. That's why it was shipped in a 32 box. I doubt they printed labels for 1 1/2" revolvers, a grease pencil was just as good.
