Welcome to The Forum from the Wiregrass! That's not a 32 it is a 38 Double Action, 4th Model, chambered for 38 S&W and was made around 1895 to 1896. Value is around $100 to $200. Looks like it could have been a police gun or a security gun since it was over stamped with the three digits on the butt which could be a rack number.

Guy, thank you. Took it to a local “shop” that told me it was a .32. They then offers $500 to take it off my hands. Guess I should have taken that! Trying to trace family history so I will do some more research. Thanks again for the reply

Is anything stamped on the back strap of the gun? Some police departments stamp the department name or initials in that location.
