Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! I think your M&P was likely made in 1914. You really need to post pictures if you want a valuation. It is possible the gun was shipped with gold plating and ivory but the experts will need to see it to provide any assessment. As far as valuation is concerned, do you have any background information on the gun...like who owned it and was it a gift or an award? You might need an historian's letter plus Historical Foundation research to add provenance. Letters cost $100 and take about 3 months to get.
