Default .32 S&W revolver identification

I have an old .32 revolver that I need help identifying and getting an estimated value for. It breaks open at the top and holds 5 rounds. The serial number is 189504 and is located on the bottom of the grip, on the cylinder, and in two other places near the cylinder. It has a 2 inch barrel and is chambered in .32. I believe there are 4 screws and three pins. There are several other models that are similar but have a hammer you can pull back. This does not have a hammer that you manually pull back but it is also not the safety hammerless versions. I can't find anything that looks like it on the web. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Looks like someone chopped the barrel and de-horned the hammer.

Welcome! For more detail, this is a .32 Double Action (likely from the early-mid 1890s) with the above mentioned modifications. It is officially an antique firearm because the serial number falls about 20000 numbers lower than the cutoff for this classification.

Someone obviously altered it to suit their needs, but this is a common gun and as modified its value is minimal, perhaps $200.

Welcome to the Forum. That appears to be a 2 Double Action, 4th Model. This model was made from 1883 to 1909, with an estimated serial number range from 43,406 to 282,999. Your revolver would have shipped from the factory around 1893-1894.

As already noted, the barrel has been cut and the hammer has been bobbed. It looks like there might also be some nickel plating on the butt-frame? It is mirror-like finish, but cannot tell for sure. I have a soft spot for cut barrel pocket S&Ws and have a few, both factory and cut. They are fun to take to the range, but not tack drivers by any stretch of the imagination. If you have ammo, give that one a try. The caliber is 32 S&W and Winchester and Remington makes them, but you will probably not find ammo anytime soon.

Photos of mine. Top gun is not a S&W and the third down is a factory 2" 32 Safety Bicycle.
