Just a word to the wise, obviously learned the hard way. If you decide to clean your antique S&W DA step one is not "Remove the side plate" it is "unscrew the hammer spring strain screw". At least in my case the strain was too much for the hammer stud and I now have a request for a surplus Stud on the Want to Buy section.
