Default Single shot

Hi all
I dont know much about this model, a friend sent me the two pics.
Is it worth taking a drive to see in person ?
What if anything should i be concerned about with this gun ?
The pics are poor, how about the price ?
Thanks
Mike

I’m thinking it’s a sweet deal at that price. I paid a good bit more for my Third Model.

That S/S appears to be a second model and in nice shape. If I didn't already have a 6" in the box, I'd be all over that one. I love top breaks and Tip-up types.

The barrel is slightly a different color than the frame. Look to see if the barrel and latch serial numbers match the frame. If they match its a great price. If they don't its a fair price, especially if the rear sight is complete. Just my opinion. Is the front sight pin may be missing?

Is it a 22?

That is a great price for 2nd model with the less common barrel, even the grips & parts are worth more than the asking price, you can always ask if they can take a little off for cash, I did at Cabela's a few years ago, & got a nickel plated 2nd model with an 8 inch barrel for less than $800 total.

If it's still there that's a no brainer. About 1/4 what one in that condition usually sells for. Likely it's gone.

Look close at the side plate. Looks to have an improper fit or the screw is loose.
