Default Finish on ejector star.

Recently there was a thread in which finish on the star was discussed in relation to originality.
I took out my old Frontier DA to play with and I see that the ejector star is in the "white"
Yet another variation

Any evidence of a re-fin mark under the left grip? From the pics, looks like a nice DA.

It's an early 44 WCF 1889
No refinish marks
