Anybody know if the Hammer Stud, Hammer Stud Nut and the Stirrup are interchangeable between the .32 DA and the .32 Safety? Numrich shows different parts numbers but that doesn't always mean something.
Needless to say, I'm looking for the above parts (for a DA) and Numrich doesn't have any. Popperts either. Jack First wants more than the gun is worth for new made versions of them.
Looks like I had better start looking for a donor gun.......
Dean, Of the top of my head, I would suspect they are interchangeable. S&W was very good about using the same parts for many different models during the period those guns were made. I will dig out my boxes of junker .32DAs & Safeties and see if a visual comparison of those parts confirms my thinking and let you know what I see. Ladysmith parts also match some of the parts in early .32DAs. Ed.
(Oct 4. Dean, I've visually compared the parts you mention as used on the .32DAs and the .32 Safety and they look identical to me. The stud nut will take a special tool to remove it and trying to make one is a stuggle, however it can be done. Ed. )
