I notice that the cylinder walls on the original 45 Schofield are significantly thinner than the chamber walls on the 44 Russian Model 3. Is there any record of the 45 Schofield having difficulties because of the thinner walls?

Not to my knowledge, Kirk. I think the cylinder wall thickness on the No.3 New Models probably was so because of the numerous calibers available, some of which had higher pressures than a Schofield round. Ed.
