Howdee folks,

I am working on finishing my 38 DA 4th model and I need a trigger spring. I went with a Numrich part but it was too short. After calling and emailing them, there is no one that can check for a little longer one for me. What I received is all they had. They sent one that measured .800 from the end of the leg to the center of the spring. (the spring looks like the letter V) The spring is for the 3rd model and the 4th model spring measures .840 . I was wondering if any of you guys had a spring or an old parts gun that you wanted to part with. Any help with this would be a great. Any ideas of another parts place would be great. Thanks you all.

You might check with Dave Chicoine at Old West Guns -- I think that is the name of his website -- for leads.

If they don't have it, try Jerry Rodgers at (352) 394-7412. He carries antique S&W parts.

Good luck!

I'm rebuilding one now too and got all the internal parts from Jim Horvath, a very pleasant gentleman to deal with. Give him an email.
