Dirk, nice gun, and early. I have #1641 and I thought that was early.

Does yours have a Kittredge cartouche on the other side on the stock?

Mine doesn't, it isn't military, but dated early 1865.

I walked into a gun shop around here not too long ago and there on the counter was a 50 round box of assorted .32 rimfire round. Some by Henry, UMC, S&W. I thought I struck gold. I asked the owner what he wanted for them. I paid $25. Now I want to try and shoot one or two, see if the mercury primer is still good *SMILE*

Default ammu

We need a license to keep ammu.
Most antique weapons are allowed without license.

Sometimes you can buy collectors-ammu, but very very expensive.....

When the cops find one bullet in your house, you lost your whole collection and it takes years to get it back if you are lucky
