I found one about a year ago that is a 29-2 in 4" with an S serial number. Very well balanced. Great shooter. Matches well with my 8 3/8" barrel one.

In almost 34 years at this,I have only come across two 29's one 29-2 unfired NIB,one new current stock 29-3 at the time and one in stock new 629-3.I bought each one as I came across them.this was in New England.others claim that there are plenty out there but they must be out west or some other location.

I had a blue S s/n and a nickel N s/n that I sold here on the forum a couple of months ago - both in cases. Since I have gotten older, I do not care for the recoil any longer...

I see them from time to time here in MN and don't think they are rare.
