Default 1905 M&P 4th. Change

I have a 1905 M&P 4th. change produced prior to the heat treating of the cylinders. Is it safe to shoot all current factory loads? 38 Special. ( I know that +p, are out of the question) Thanks!

If in good condition it should be safe with standard velocity 38 Specials.

Thanks for the info! I did fail to mention it's condition. It is in good condition. It has been in our family for approx. 50 years. I have just recently started to shoot it. My father used to shoot it at a police range.

Great revolvers! I really like mine. Sight are a bit tough to see!
(Be careful of the cylinder hold-open spring in the crane if you remove the cylinder to clean it. A Really neat feaure on these early revolvers and something I learned about here!)
Best, Steve

Great picture. My vision isn't wonderful, and I know what you mean about the sights. Just ordered C.T. laser grips for it. We'll SEE what that does! Thanks!!
