Talking help identifying

hey guys posted once before but now i have pics. just wondering when this mp model is from and how much its worth? it has a serial # v453xxx. thanks for the help guys

I would say it is from late 1943, or early 1944. Someone will probably be able to nail it down a little better than that though.... I have one like it that is serial number V3838XX. I was told that one shipped in July of 1943.

It is a Victory model as indicated by the V prefix. These were given to the WWII production M&Ps.

As for value, I would say $200-300.

If it looks as good in person at it looks (to me) in the pics, I would have to trump aj's range with a $400-550. It has original style stocks, swivel and the finish looks like the one it came with. Nice case color on the trigger/hammer. I have seen a couple like that move in the 5 bill range recently. Nice gun.

I would say its needs to be quit a bit cleaner to be in this range.First estimate is probably closer. Then again its worth what someone will actually pay for it, with the ****** economy.....

Nice looking Victory model.

In looking at one of your photos, it looks like there's something stamped on the lower edge of the grip frame/backstrap... Is there something there?

yes there is somthong stamped the its HE and then it fades out looks like mabe a j and then something that i cant make out ill post a pic when my wife gets back w/ the camera

yes it does have us property stamped on the top, also on the right side of the barrel its stamped 38 s&w special ctg
