Default Colorado Saddlery gun rug & NR Magnum

The non-registered Magnum that I recently acquired came with a tooled gun "rug". I was told that the previous owner had these 2 items together for at least the last 30 years or so.

It's probably not the best thing to store your gun in but it makes for a nice carrying case to and from the range. The leather case is fleece lined and the spine of the case is stamped Colorado Saddlery.

Can anyone help date this case?

Thanks!

My guess is 1940's or early '50's.See my reply to your question on my recent post for more info on Colorado Saddlery.

I inherited this with my 1955 HP - I don't know when it was purchased. It has the same fleece lining.

The leather develops some kinds of white mold - I'm not sure what it is or how to prevent it.

Pecard's Antique Leather Conditioner would be great for these items.
