I don't know if this is allowed or not, but I'd appreciate some expert opinions about this gun. Is it a Navy gun?
Thanks

?? Are you referring to the gun mentioned below in this section with the Navy info marked on an angle of the left side?
Pretty safe to assume it's a counterfeit originating from a California dealer known to some of us.

No, it's actually listed for sale along with a knife, belt & holster (S&W Forum/classifieds/guns for sale/p.2)

If you're referencing something currently for sale in the Classifieds, I think discussing its authenticity, what it's worth, etc, in this Room of the Forum would be considered very bad manners, if not in direct violation of the Forum rules. Why not PM the seller with your questions?

The Classifieds Rule 9 is relevant rule here:
Quote:
9. If you do not have any need to be responding in an ad, don't! This isn't a discussion forum, this is a listing service. If you have any issue with the poster, email them or the forum staff. Unsolicited dialog like "price is too high" or "nice gun" isn't needed, nor will it be tolerated.
You will note that it does not specifically state not to discuss an ad in OTHER Rooms of the S&W Forum, but I suspect that is the SPIRIT of this rule. It's got to be very hard to write these rules and keep it to one page while covering every possible situation...

Personally, if I had something for sale in the classifieds, I would not appreciate people making negative comments about it elsewhere on the Forum. In fact, this may provoke me into making a few negative comments of my own. A situation like that can degenerate in a hurry. Let's not make extra work for the Admins, guys.

Looks like the revolver in question is Sold Pending Funds.
