Congratulations! A complete and absolute beauty. I am envious but happy for you, so I will affix the green smiling face.

That's really sharp!
About 8 years ago, I had a gun show dealer tell me that M&P's will never be collectable, will never increase in value, be of any interest to true gun collectors. They (S&W) made million's of them and nobody wants an old police gun. Go Figure?
We need some good closeup photos to get a good look
Regards

Just to be argumentative...... its pretty dangerous to use the term "unfired." Almost all the guns we're aware of have been fired, usually 3 times in alternate cylinders, at the factory. Its very hard to tell if a firearm has been fired and then cleaned by someone who knows how to do it.
But it really doesn't matter. Great old guns are as nice if they've been fired at the factory, afterwards, or not at all.
M&Ps cover a lot of ground. I'd argue the target models have been collectors darlings for a long time. At least prewar guns.

I'll never understand how a firearm can survive almost 100 years without being fired. It's great when they do because it gives us an opportunity to see what they looked like when new. Your M&P is a thing of beauty, thanks for sharing...

Congrats! What a great looking revolver!
The only down side about it is that I'd feel bad for wanting to shoot it.

Very nice. I just last week bought one myself and find I am enthralled with it. Mine is also in nice condition (but not quite as good as yours). I never thought I would be so in to such a common revolver. But mine seems to be all original with excellent gold medallion grips with serial number penciled in. These guns certainly are easier on the pocketbook. The one I have (serial 335384) was shipped in 1920 and also has the 4 inch barrel. Thanks for posting yours.
