This one is just barely a pre war, shipped April 11th 1940 to the Williamsburg Virginia Public Safety Director, Yale Huffman.
Serial number 59037, this one was one of eight in the order, and sports the factory ordered "hump back" hammer. It was ordered with 5 inch blued, with checkered walnut Magna Grips.
Typical cop's gun. More exterior wear than mechanical, the grips are not numbered to the gun and it was reblued at some point and has that tell tale "purple" cylinder.
I had a wonder sight on it and shot some pretty nice groups at 25 and 50 yards with a 358156 cast gas checked HP over 11.5 grs of 2400 in a 38 Special case.
