I recently purchase a couple of 'DS-K6-SPEED' speed loaders for my early (1958) model 17 from Dave Skrzela at "http://ds10speed.spaces.live.com/" . I contacted Dave by email before placing the order to verify that I was ordering the correct part for my gun. He replied quickly and I place the order and received the speed loaders quickly.

Unfortunately the speed loaders didn't fit my gun. Apparently the chamber spacing on my older gun is a little bit different than the newer models. Dave offered to have me return them or, if I wished, he would attempt to modify them. I elected to have him modify them. Again turn around was quick and the modified speed loaders worked perfectly.

Daves support is great and the speed loaders he sells work very well on my gun (much better than the HKS speed loaders I was using).

I plan to try using the old Model 17 in the upcoming 22 league at my local range. I think the new speed loaders will make my old revolver competitive with the automatics.
