4 digit s/n K-22
Here's a photo of my K-22,serial number K 2414 with a carved Colorado Saddlery gun rug I just acquired. The revolver & the rug were made around the same time & the K-22 fits the rug perfectly.

Yes,FT,it is shearling lined.I wanted it pretty badly as well.I've got to figure out how to clean the lining, the outside is in good shape.

As usual, nice outfit Mr. W.
I've always wondered just how high up in the serial range the 'oversized' ejector rod knobs were used on K-22's. I've got a (K-22) barrel with a S/N of K4231.
Anyone have any idea?

Really really nice. I just love the one-line-address K-22s. And the carved gun rug is a perfect complement to the revolver.

Around K5000, but I have not come closer than that. I have K4267 with the large knob, but I have heard of guns numbered about 1500 higher with the constant-diameter ejector rod.
EDITED TO ADD: What an idiot I am! How could I add a minor comment to a downlist post and ignore the subject of the thread? That's a beautiful gun and an equally beautiful rug. They deserve each other.
One line, five screws -- the ideal proportions for a perfect revolver.

That is one nice early K22 and that rug is from one of the better holster makers of their time. All in all a great package and the condition is terrific. I do have one question. Isn't the gun too early for a target hammer? A more knowledgeable than me will have to speak up. Not taking anything from the gun cause she is a beaut.
Enjoy

Hello
Beautiful Gun, & Rug. I too wondered about that Target Hammer ? From what I have Read the Target style hammers came along in Early 1950 Time span, and from what I have seen in the past the hammer shown on that K-22 Looks like the Very Late 1950's style. My 1947 is shown with it's original serial numbered Magnas and is in the Low 3000 serial range..

Pre 17
1947 was a VERY good year-- I have K4881. Don't have the nice rug, though. If it's September, please let me know. Mine's November.
Congrats,
Jim

How about...5 screws and 4 lines? 1953 vintage K22.
