Actually, it says Mod 13-2

It's a .357, didn't state that before.

Still 1979, but I jumped to a conclusion I had no reason to propose. Thanks for the additional info.

I only have one that fits this 1896-1961 forum, and it's not very pretty.

To some folks.

But I like it.

Shipped to New Orleans in 1901.

Pre-1961 K frames? Only have a couple and none that haven't been seen before.

I will submit this as the most worn one, and the muzzle will nearly cut you because it is so worn on one side.
Shoots great though.

That it do MOONDAWG, that it do. Whenever I look at it I wonder what kinds of stories it could tell.

What fantastic K-frames! I've been fighting the urge to aquire some 1949-vintage models, but you all have ruined that! The quest begins!

Pre Model 14. Serial# K164277. Sadly just had to replace the original barrel because the forcing cone cracked, but the new barrel is sound and since this gun has no more collector value it will be a home defense/target shooting gun. Will be getting rid of the Pach's soon. Haven't decided what to do with the old barrel--maybe make a pencil holder out of it.

Well, here's another. M&P (1905/Fourth) with a five inch barrel from the mid-1920s. S/N 544932 (mistakenly recorded on the bottom of the box as 554932). About 95% finish, with most wear on backstrap, a little at the muzzle, and some minor scratches and tiny dings here and there.

Haven't shot it yet, but will. Bore and chambers shiny and unpitted, action tight. There's a catch in the DA pull that I need to address.

Probably 1926 from the serial number; I wouldn't try to predict which month, given the company's practice of shipping out of numerical order.

First up: my favorite revolver of all time - a perfectly balanced Model 13 w/3" barrel.

Next: my born in 1961 unfired Model 10 w/4" HB.

Here's my Model 19-3 w/4" barrel and 3Ts. Also has 1970s version of illuminated sights

Here's my Model 19-4 w/4" barrel and 3Ts.

38 M&P Fourth Change, Shipped March 23, 1929 to George F. Herold Co.,New York City, NY Shippment was for 25 units and came with black hard rubber round butt grips. If anyone has that type of grip for sale please contact me.
Hi Muddyboot;

How close is your 1919 revolver to this one, serial number 2961XX?

I sure wished I'd known you needed correct style grips for your 1929 round butt M&P. I have a set from a super clean 1930s M&P snub that was confiscated by law enforcement and unfortunately disassembled for parts. One is broken with a missing section. It probably was carelessly broken when the revolver was in custody or disassembled. What a shame. The other grip is very clean and sharp though. It would look good on your revolver. You'd be half way there if you had it. Perhaps you could find a broken set with an opposite good grip. If you want it just let me know and I'll send it along.

Here is my latest, new to me, K22 which dates to 1947. This piece has seen very little use & lotsa love. It is probably about 99% new.

This 1902 M&P is my latest. Came out of Hawaii. A Gunbroker buy, a total of 158.00 shipped, the best deal I ever made on Gunbroker. Grips are not original to the revolver. Letter request was sent in mid May.

Hi Muddyboot;

You keep coming up with revolvers with birth dates fairly close to some of mine.

Here's serial No. 502XXX. I figure it was shipped during 1904.

Your new revolver looks much better than mine.

I recently did that which is evil and test fired 30 rounds of various 158 grain +P factory loads through the old relic in the name of "science." It shrugged them off as nothing. Of course the 31st could have caused it to "blow a gasket."

My SN is 58xxx. I'll get back to you when the letter arrives. This revolver has some mechanical issues, so I'll be sending it to David Chicoine some time to get it in working order.

Here are the three that I love the most:

Pre 10
1905 HE
Model 14-2 SAO

Hope the terminology is right, I'm still new at collecting.
The 14 is the most accurate revolver I've ever had.
By the way, most if not all of you guys take great photos!
Please ignore the date on the photo, it was taken today.

Default My K-Frame 64-8

Here is a pic of my model 64-8 in .38 Special +P. It's not as old as most of what has been poster, but I like it. It shoots great. I got it in trade fo ra Glock 22, and think I got the best of the deal.

My M66-1. It was my personally owned duty weapon when I was a Detective in the 1980's. I still carry it from time to time today. It's DA only and the trigger pull is smooth as a baby's butt.
