I have a couple of guns from a good friend and he was asking about them. Most info I have but not the manufacture date of .32 Long Ctg.

.32 Long Ctg on barrel
4.25" barrel
Butt/Cyl/Underside of Barrel serno = 94447
Blue
Plastic S&W grips

Dates on barrel go from Mar 27 1884 to Feb 8 1908

One other number is on the swing out and on the part of the frame by the swing arm is 45207. Not sure what that is. Model #?

Based on the serial number, that's probably a .32 Hand Ejector Model of 1903 (Second change) that was made around 1908-09. The numbers on the crane and adjacent frame are just process control numbers and mean nothing once the revolver is assembled and out of the factory. At this time S&W revolvers did not have model numbers; collectors just describe them in terms of their years of introduction and subsequent variation.

Safe to shoot with modern ammo.
