They look like Sanderson's to me, but that diamond throws me off...

Here is a set of Sanderson's on a Colt OMS of mine:

Nice stocks, for sure.

They do not look like it to me...the diamond, the amount of checkering, and the wood choice and finish look like red flags to me.

When you get them, please post pictures of the inside surfaces. Those may actually be Roper's.

Regards,
Kevin Williams

Kevin, I think you are right, now that you mention it. Chris, if so, you are one lucky dog!

Ropers would be awesome! Initially, I didn't think they were because of the lack of smooth 'ribbons'. Now after some deeper research, I see that some Ropers didn't have the smooth decorations. I won't know for sure until I receive them. From the research, it sounds like Griffin and Howe made some similar, but they are still quality and desirable. In any case, they will look great on one of my pre-war K22s or K38s.

G&H stocks usually have much finer (more lpi) checkering, while Sanderson's are usually coarser. I'm pretty sure yours are Roper's but the inside will tell the tale.

Looks like G&H to me. This is a bad photo of an old ad, but they do have diamonds.

Chris, Dems Ropers !! nice catch-congratulations. Several features ,wood, checkering. finish, butt configuration all look legit. The real proof is when you put them on a worthy pistol they feel like none other. Regards, Bart

I doubt they are Sandersons. Even before I saw s&wchad's post, I was thinking G&H, so I'll stick with that. At any rate, congratulations.
