Just want to share a few photos of a very nice triple lock I acquired some time ago.

I'd have been happy with just a picture of the grips. They are gorgeous and the early guns had some of the nicest walnut. Quality and availability of the good walnut had disappeared when we get to the 50's. Nice gun. She is a looker.

Brian, that's a nice one! Congratulations.

Several months ago I was fortunate enough to pick up a .455 TL that was still in pretty good shape, but it had been converted to .45 Colt after its return from unpleasantness in Europe. I have not yet shot it, but plan to as soon as I can clear away cleaning and preservation obligations that I feel toward other items that have joined my collection.

Triple Locks are special guns. I don't think a S&W guy can be satisfied with just one of them if the opportunity exists to own a second or third.

That's a beauty. I have a nickel 5" that shipped 15 1/2 months before yours (Oct 1 1913), but is higher in number at 5321. Just another example that numbers really don't mean that much when it comes to when a gun was really made and/or shipped.
