Unhappy ID Assistance Please!

I recently purchased a .32 Long Ctge. S&W revolver with a 3 1/4" barrel, 1917 walnut stocks with no medallion, five-screw, serial 404xxx. I'm having trouble uploading pics , but would like to confirm that this is a Regulation Police .32 and would really like to know the year of manufacture.

If it has the cut-out in the backstrap and the serial number on the front strap, yes it is.

It was probably shipped in the mid 1930s.
