Numbered grips again?
Did S&W, at any point, number the target grips on "K" frame guns, if ordered with the gun from the factory? Thanks, Big Larry

The only K frame target stocks that I've seen numbered were on early Combat Magnums 1955-6 ish.
Do you have a different picture for us??? (other than the barrel/ejector rod)

I think Smith quickly figured out very early on that there was no need to number target grips, like magnas, since they are not fitted to the gun.

early on some of the pre 25 model ACP guns were known to have numbered target grips, I wanna think there's another model that had target grips numbered but I can't recall it right now

Big Larry:
If you stay on the path you are now on, you will likely develop a full blown case of Smith-itis. Membership in the S&WCA is not a cure, but it makes the illness much more bearable. If you would like an application for membership let me know and I will be happy to send one along to you, with my endorsement. You won't regret it.

Hi Larry:
I can send you an application via email. Send me an email message at [email protected] (and remove the NOSPAM) and I will reply with the app.
I know what you collect as we share many of the same interests. Your USGI shotgun collection has always impressed me as top notch. I have noticed your recent posts here and detected more interest in Smiths lately so I thought a SWCA membership would be appropriate and useful to you. It is really the greatest source of S&W info, particularly since factory historian Roy Jinks is a very active member and is readily accessible to the membership as a whole. You have probably noticed that many of the most active posters here on the Forum are SWCA members. We would welcome your participation in the Association.
