Default K 15 what year mfg ?

Actually there is no model number and it's serial number is K 2870XX. Can some one tell me the mfg year? I think it's 50's and it is very nice. Thanks.

Serial numbers in the range of yours were being assigned just about the time K-prefix guns began getting model identification numbers. Your gun, which I think is a Pre-Model 15 or Combat Masterpiece, would have shipped about 1957.

Can you post some photos? There are lots of people here who like the Combat Masterpiece models in both .22 and .38 Special.

I'm thinking it may be more like late 1956 and be known as a pre-15 assuming it's a 4" barrel gun.
