Default Unknown magna-style Stocks?

These stocks are on my 4-inch Model 15 (no dash) 4-screw. They are wood with a faux (or real?) ivory overlay. I have never seen these before and want to know if they are factory S&W stocks or from another maker.

As you can see the inside of each stock is stamped:

20
K FRAME COMBAT MASTERPIECE
.38 M & P
K22/K38
MED. FRAME SQUARE BUTT

Click on the pics for larger view. Any ideas?

Definitely not S&W. Probably the product of a generic grip manufacturer who doesn't even have a brand identity to put on his product. I can pretty much guarantee that the ivory is not real.

The grips are not unattractive, but they are not original equipment for your revolver. At the time your gun shipped (late '50s, very early '60s), it would have come from the factory with diamond magnas.

BTW, welcome to the forum.

EDITED TO ADD: The previous post makes a good suggestion. I didn't even think about Jay Scott grips, but that's a possibility. I don't know how those were labeled or identified on the back. Perhaps someone else can address that question.

I'm sure those are Jay Scott. I have several pair and the lettering on the back is identical.

Talking

Back in the day the first thing you did was pull off those ol' factory diamonds, throw 'em in the tool box and put on a set of Jay Scotts!

'cause I did it.

Jay Scott did make some wood backed genuine ivory and pearl grips but I have only seen 2 sets over the years and they were both for Ruger.
