I have come into possession of what appears to be a very early .32 I-frame. It has "6649" stamped in the bottom of the butt frame, a four-screw cover, with an additional screw below the (six-shot) cylinder, but none in the trigger strap, and has 1894 & 1895 patent dates on the cylinder. I cannot find a caliber/cartridge mark anywhere, though it appears to be .32 caliber, with a three-inch barrel. It is nickel-plated, with mother-of-pearl grips (No, I didn't take it off a pimp in a cheap New Orleans whorehouse!). Sorry, no pics yet. Anyone care to take a crack at this one?
