Default Pre-Model 10 Serial Number Question

Guys,

I'm traveling out of town on a little vacation and I happened to purchase a nice 5-screw pre-Model 10 with matching numbers and stocks. As I don't have any of my books with me I can't check the serial number to see when the revolver was made. The serial number is C 63,xxx. If any of you guys can let me know when this fine Smith was born, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

JD
