Well, I got my .22/32 lettered as made in 1914. I have seen some notes about not using high-vel ammo in guns that are not recessed...sooooo...before I make a mistake, thought I should ask first.
I'll agree that it's not a good idea to use HV 22 ammo in an early 22/32, and that generally standard velocity ammo is more accurate in most guns. However, I believe that the concern is more with the safety of the shooter (due to possible unsupported primer side-rupture) rather than with consequences to the gun; burst primers are no fun. -S2
