My model 28 no dash
Here's my model 28 "Highway Patrolman" serial number S20419X, which was shipped in October of 1960. It's a 4 screw.
I need a box for this one, if anyone has one please PM me.

What a fine example of a model 28 - especially in my favorite barrel length. Good luck finding a box and thanks for the pics.

That's a beauty of a classic S&W revolver made in 1962.

Moosedog,
I've got a shoe box that I think it will fit in. Will that work? LOL

Left Handed Thread?
Hey Leonard! Very nice 4" 28 No Dash...
Just curious, does your cylinder have the "L" marking on the face?
Can't tell from the photo, but it does appear to have the undercut 'ring' on the ejector rod near the knurl ...
My early 28-2 gun is no where near as nice as yours, but I've hung onto it being a Highway Patrolman guy because it has these unusual features. Mine's in the S225,ooo range...
The search continues... I'm on the chase for the illusive 28-1 and every bit of info on these guns is interesting...
