Model 15 No Dash 4 Screw Value?
I know without a photo or the gun in hand it's hard to put a value on S&W pretty much.
That being said, I have a friend who has a Model 15 no dash (four screw of course) serial number #k353xxx.
The gun is in great shape, mild turn line and light holster wear at the muzzle but nothing else. The grips aren't factory S&W's, Hogues I think (rubber).
He want's $350 for it.
Any information as to value wise and would it be a good buy?
Thanks,

Murphy: Based on your description, it sounds like a bargain. I paid $400 and $450 for the two I have. Box and docs would really sweeten the deal.

LEO918,
Thanks, but sadly no box or original grips. I'm thinking it's a pretty good bargain as well but wasn't sure. It is a sweet looking piece. I have a Model 18-2 & Model 19-5 (not quite as sweet on the 19) but it'd be a nice set.

I agree that $350 is a good deal.
$300 is a VERY good deal
$250 is a GREAT deal and anything less an Outstanding deal.
Like wise you could replace the prices with the words, Original grips, Like new and NIB.
Incidentally I just picked up a 5 screw with wrong era (Smith target) grips or $375 with some muzzle wear.
Also paid $400 for a LNIB 15-1 last year.

Decided to go ahead with the deal on the Model 15 no dash. Here it is for now until I get a better pair of grips on it.
No box, paper work....just a nice 4 Screw Model 15.
Thanks,

LEO918,
Thanks for the compliment friend. Yeah, I'm unsure at the moment if I want to go with period correct magna's? Or just a nice set of grips. Either way, I'll get more pictures of it later.
Thanks,

Got one today..
Mine has a little less wear then you decribed.
(Certainly more then murphys gun )
I paid 400 for mine, and I consider it a good deal.
Your friend seems on par with his guess.

Engine49guy,
I wish I could spring for a nice set of diamond targets, but it's just not in the budget on this one. Hopefully I'll find a nice set of diamond magna's. I'm unsure for now, but yeah...gotta shed those that are on it.
Thanks for the compliments guys. I figured it was a steal, and to have others here confirm that really makes me feel good about a buy.
