Local gun store has a six shot, blue, .38 special, 4", probably K frame, 5 screw, with adjustable sights. No model #, s/n K 118408.
Can anyone help with shipping date3?

Sounds like a K-38 Combat Masterpiece ("Pre-Model 15), 1951 per the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson. Pictures would help.
