Default Early 44 magnum

No pics yet-sorry (trying to upload from an ipad) Early this summer I decided to buy a 29-2 as the prices on the 4 and 5 screws were getting up there and I really prefer to own shooters.Came across an online auction with fuzzy pictures (of course..) of a gun listed as a 3 screw with a 6 1/2 inch barrel.Blowing up the photos I could swear I saw a 4th screw.Emailed the seller asking for the dash number. No dash number,no rust,no pitting just a hint of muzzle wear and later target grips.placed the opening bid with 5 minutes left and bought it. Picked it up from my lgs and gave it a good cleaning. Not too long after that a member here auctioned off some very nice cokes.Got a set.So I'm a happy camper. For the price of a 99% -2 with all the fixins,I have a non model marked 4 screw 44 magnum mfd 57-58 in 95-96% condition. The oddest bit is the serial number.Found it on the butt, the yoke and the cylinder and nowhere else.On the butt and cylinder it reads s 176910.In the yoke it reads s 176010 (with a magnifying glass!) Just had to tell that story to folks that enjoy this stuff.

Pre 29 four screws are not plentiful. Mine is # 181xxx and is marked just like yours .... butt, yoke and cyl ... not on the bbl.

Nice pick up. you did good.
