Can someone date this serial number?
I don't have my book in front of me.
It's a M&P blue 4" with "fishhook" style short action hammer
Serial number C175883. I'm thinking '48 or '49?

Slightly later, I think. Probably 1951, with a chance at 1952 if it sat on the shelf for a while.
