Default Fair price for "shooter grade" .32 snub?

I find myself desiring a Model 30 or 31 with a 2 inch barrel. Would like a decent one but need not be pristine.

I was thinking of placing a "want to buy" ad and am undecided about listing a price. I could leave it open ended and simply ask the potential seller to state their price or should I give a figure? If the latter, what is reasonable these days? My "Standard Catalog" suggests $225 for VG condition and $275 for Excellent but I realize that's a little low.

Is $300 to $350 a reasonable price point?

Any advice appreciated!

Ned

I agree. You should be able to get a nice but not completely new-looking .32 snub in the price range you mentioned.

Me 2. Got a 3". Getting a 4". 95gr SWC and 2gr bullseye load, and it's like shooting 22s. Don't know how effective it is, but I'm carrying it anyway. Probably just bounce off the BG's jacket and piss him off?

I just bought a schmoozy model 30 2" on the improved I frame for $310.00. Flat latch, factory grips, prolly %95 finish. Shoots my handloaded .32 Longs great! They are out there, just keep an eye out for the ones that are fairly priced.

The only one I have found in the last six months is in north Georgia, about 85% condition, no box, $450.00. It has been there a while.
