K 22 Combat masterpiece 5 screw- 1951 - Value?
Hello all,
I picked up a K22 Combat masterpiece with correct target grips that are original to the gun....
it is a serial 1362XX, so it appears to have been made in 1951.
Gun is in Very good condition, probably rate at 90%+.
There is some evidence of older minor pitting under the grips, but there is no rust anywhere else on the gun, and the pitting is concealed by the grips....
What am I looking at for value here? The grips have a thumb rest divit in the left side, but not a speed loader L, so I believe they are correct and original.
Thanks!

Well if it is truly a 90% gun I would probably value it at $450 tops, but that's me...pics would help.
BTW That "divit" you refer to is a relief cut to help with the ejection of spent (or live) cartridges not a thumb rest. Dont worry though you are not the first one to make that mistake.

ll - detailed pictures is best to help you with your questions.
If you just picked up the gun, you know what the value is.
The football relief target grips can not be original to a 1951 gun - that style wasn't made until mid/late 1955.
Your gun would have left the factory with either Magnas or no-relieved target stocks.
How does the gun shoot?

You just picked it up? Why are you asking what it's worth? You know exactly what it's worth.
