I have a .32 Long ctg Revolver , it looks very nice but I'm really wanting to know when it was made, if anybody could help me.
Serial number is 245XX4 (i am not sure for the third digit)...
The patented numbers show march 27.84 aug 4.88(88 is not very clear!!) dec 22.96 and oct.8.01 dec 17.01.feb6.06.sep.14.09

That gun is called a .32 Hand Ejector, Second Model (or Model of 1903), Fifth Change. It was probably shipped from the factory in 1916 or 1917.
Most of these guns were made with 3-1/4 inch or 4-1/4 inch barrels, but some have barrels that are six inches long. They are uncommon. If you have a six inch barrel and adjustable sights, you have a very uncommon and potentially valuable revolver.
