Probably not. The cylinder doesn't look big enough, among other things. Probably a 3-inch Model 10 or 13, wouldn't you think?
Great looking 27s, everyone.

Exposed ejector rod too... I think it's a square butt 3" 13 or 10.

That's certainly possible. I thought it a 27 because it appears to have an ejector rod shroud, with the barrel ending just past. It's really not clear enough to make certain.
There's a lot of action in that still photo!

This one is mine. Shipped January 1955. I think the Keith Brown Cokes and the Van Horne holster compliment it quite well.

Here's mine. I load it with the old Speer 160 grain jacketed SWCs at about 1200 fps.
Here it is actually being carried. Fuzzy pic, my brother was probably laughing at my "outdoors gourmet" attempt.

phenson,
That rig is striking. I'm gonna have to clean the drool off of my keyboard.

Early in my career, I bought a gorgeous 5 screw 3-1/2 inch .357 built in early 1950. It had since been refinished at the factory and showed no wear. Beautiful, non-original smooth Goncala Alves target stocks. I was going through the typical rookie cop "gun of the week" period. I qualified with it and carried it a few times.
I found myself on a shooting call where it was raining. I needed the gun out of the holster and in my hands. It got rained on. I found myself distracted by the nice sixgun being rained on.
I decided that night that actually carrying a gun at work was harder on the gun's finish than I was willing to expose some of my guns to. In addition to getting wet, they got bumped into stuff - car doors, door frames, folks' heads, stuff. This gun was too pretty for that. I quit carrying my really nice .357's to work that day. From then on, it was just more tool-like guns that went to work.
Some nice photos of some nice guns in this thread.

This 1950 Pre 27 was likely carried in FL due to the holster and right side magna stock wear. It now resides in the Pacific NW where it gets carried frequently and shot in competition. One of the best actions of my lot. The Hogues are a great shooting stock.

Wow Guys, now you've gone and done it. I've been thinking about a 3.5" Model 27 for a while now, and these beauties have tipped me over the edge. I would like a blued -2 or earlier "shooter grade" grade gun, meaning 85% or better finish that is in very good to excellent in terms of smooth action, good accuracy, good trigger pull and ball bat reliability.
I have some good trading stock if someone is interested: i.e.
Model 57's or 58's, a 4" -2 Mod 29, a couple of Sigs and a few others I could part with. If interested in a trade send me an email at [email protected] and we can discuss. I would use the private message system, but I'm not sure how one retrieves the messages.
Thanks very much for your consideration.

That revolver in the back ground looks more like a M-13 with a 3"BBL to me.

The barrel of the gun behind the 3-piece suit is not tapered. I'd bet it's a M13, 3" rather than the topical 3.5" M-27.
