Default Half an Aircrewman plus some

Well, not as pretty pictures as my last thread but figured they were worth showing. Now don't make fun of my prop "rock", it's all that worked since there is only half a trigger guard. I found this stuff yesterday at a local show. The frame came with the non-matching cracked grips with some yellow paint dots on the back (doubt that is significant). The markings on the frame look legit.

The other grips came from a few tables away. They have a curious 3 digit stamping on the back strap of the right panel and are stamped with a number within the range of aircrewman.

Thought this stuff was interesting enough to acquire and share here. I know there are some guys, like Ed, that keep a database of these guns.

Daniel, was the frame blown up, or melted? Hard to tell from the pictures.

That's going into my database. Thanks! I have one with a similar rack number except that it is "196" on the left grip.

Regards,
Kevin Williams

Bill,
It looks to have been flame cut and then mechanically cut as well.

Kevin,
Just to clarify the grips with the rack number were seperate from the frame. The frame had the other set of grips on it.

Dave,
I'm with you. Would have loved to see it all in one piece.

I made it to the show late yesterday, didn't see anything I couldn't live without other than a 1lb bag of candied macadamian nuts!! I seen one 2" Rhino, but it was out of my price range.

Added a pic of the cutting in the post above.

I'm sorry I missed ya. I kept my eyes open for you but only saw marines of the retired kind. Funny thing, I saw that same bag-a-nuts but I passed as the seller couldn't verify which island they originated from. The price was right but I just couldn't take the risk.

The show was crazy busy for this time of the year. I figure the unseasonably nice weather here in Utah and todays distracting event probably had something to do with that.

Here are pics of my aircrewman, I was hoping it was salvagable but the cylinder stop window is gone, frame is not cracked and there is virturally no flame cutting on topstrap indicating it wasn't shot much. Grips have similar marking as the OP' s gun, I wonder what they mean?
