Default Target model Ladysmith .22?

I had never seen one of these before. This was at the James Julia auction preview. This was being auctioned off this week. Pretty cool.
Is this factory original? It appeared to be

Default Nice Example!!

Twaits,

That's as Original as any of mine!! Ought to bring good money if anyone's paying attention!! The 1st Model's a pretty respectable piece as well!! Also, the 2nd Model Schofield below it isn't too shabby either!! Ought to be an interesting auction!!

How uncommon are these? I've never seen one before this one.

Don't let David see this one!! There'll be no stopping him if he starts chasing this oddity.

Seriously, I hope it does go to somebody on this forum as it will be great to get a lot of details and images of this one. It really is a rarity.

A few exist. Out of roughly 25,000 Ladysmiths produced over roughly 20 years, I doubt more than a few hundred actually had adjustable sights. I have it in mind that only the third model Ladysmiths were offered in a target variety, but I could be wrong.

I'd love to have one of these, but the few guns I have actually submitted bids on quickly rose beyond the price I was willing to pay. They are quite pricy.

It will be very interesting to see how much it actually goes for. I know I won't be in the bidding as it will be beyond my means, as well as not in my collecting focus. (But I would really like to have one!)

If anyone sees the final price please post the amount. Thanks
