Default K22 Outdoorsman with British proofs

Thought you folks might enjoy seeing my two k22 1st model's one of which has British proofs. Anyone know how this may have come about?

Nice gun!

Just a guess, but it was probably sent over for military training and then sold commercially after the war. "Not English Make" was required until 1955. At least they didn't stamp the proofs between the cylinder stop notches.

Thumbs up "Artistic"?

Two examples of one of my favorite S&W models. Love the proof marks - at least the "proofer" appreciated the beauty of the gun and was neat and careful with the marks - they almost look... could I say "artistic" in their application?
