M1905 32-20 target
output.jpg
Just picked this one up. Had to tap dance for an hour to get the price where I wanted it. It was the only one in a rather nice collection that wasn't re-blued and basically destroyed (collector value).

Very good condition. Definitely a shooter.
The trigger is excellent as is the bore.

SN is 125XXX and everything checks out. I know just enough to get by with the 1905's but want to learn more. Thanks!

Great find. I’m rather fond of the target 32-20s myself. There’s a great thread on the 1905 32-20s in the notable threads section.

Welcome to the Forum.
Other than the ejector rod wear, the rest is collector quality.
I once had a target .32-20 that dated to about 1907. I didn't shoot it very well, due to the tiny sights.

They seem to be a little hard to find in nice condition. I walked the Tulsa gun show for 2 days a few years ago, and finally found 1 that I brought home.
Congrats!!

Welcome to our merry band. It looks like you’ve found a way to make a grand entrance. Those 32-20s were generally bought to be used, and after a century of being used most of the ones we get to see tend to be used up! yours appears to have beat the odds and escaped most of the ravages of time. Congratulations on an exceptional find.
