Default K 22 Outdoorsman Value

I found a K 22 Outdoorsman at a LGS. The serial number is 6531XX. It has not been refinished and still has the deep, dark blue from the 1930's. There is a small amount of thinning of the blueing at the end of the barrel on both sides. It has some freckling on the frame, but only one small place with pitting near the right side of the trigger guard. It has a very good condition set of 1950's relieved diamond target stocks. I don't have photos yet, but will try to work on this.

What would a gun that meets this description be worth?

Thanks,

Bill

Updated to add photo (not very good, but all I have at the time)

The bluing sounds fine, but the freckling and especially pitting sound a little worrisome, plus non-original stocks...I would guess about $1000 or a little less, but others here may have a better idea of the current market and a different answer. Photos would be helpful here.

Default K22 Outdoorsman

I have been watching online sites and this site for a K22 Outdoorsman for a few months. On gunbroker, the last two that were close to the condition you are describing sold for $624.00 and $540.00. Another site recently sold a better K22 OD for $675.00. A member here listed one for $800.00, and now has it listed on gunbroker for the same price, and it has not sold . From recently sold K22 OD's, I think a shooter grade with finish issues would sell in the price range of $650.00.

Let us know what they want and we'll figure it out for you. At least let you know if it seems high. Larry
