(I added these two photos. They’re still horrible, but at least they have a little more light.

I have no interest in photography except I’d love to be able to share photo’s of my favorite firearms. I’ll work at it, my wife actually has a decent camera. These are just from my cell.

Thanks for the kind words and information.)

I apologize in advance for the poor photos. When the lights better tomorrow I’ll try and do better, but it’s not my forte.

This gun really does need good photos, it’s amazing!
I’ve bought the occasional gun from David here and there over the last 10 years or so. His guns and pleasant conversation never disappoint me.

After selling the best of my collection for personal reasons, I’m now buying a few guns again. This is now my only Pre War gun.

This gun is approximately 99%, and I’m extremely pleased with it.
It also came with this hinged box which I’d never seen before.

The Serial # is 342183. If anyone could date it I’d appreciate it.

Thank You,
Emory

1920, or maybe 1921 if it languished in inventory for a few months.

What a beauty!

Note that the frame is unmarked on the right side. This is a couple of years before the MADE IN U.S.A. stamp was first applied.

I'm not sure about the S&W logo. There was a short period after WWI when the name SMITH & WESSON could be seen on the barrel but there was no S&W logo stamped on the frame. If your gun has the stamp, it would be small and on the left side.

That one is really nice!

Not heat treated. Don't shoot +P in that.

There is a small S&W Logo on the left.

Thanks for the info.
Including the +P warning.

It would be like me to do something like shoot this revolver.
I have a stash of wad-cutters loaded up that are on the light side.
It’s a real cream puff. Shooting it would take some nerve.

Thank you,
Emory

I have 2 pre-wars, and I've shot both with factory wadcutters (only). Not a lot, but enough to realize how much fun they are. Below is my mid-30's gun, also from David. Gotta buy a couple more from him...
