need dates for these serial #'s
model 10-5 # D624xxx and model 36 # J139xxx is there some place I can look these up? I am not having any luck

Both guns should date somewhere around 1973-74.
The best reference for S&W products is the
Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 3rd edition
by Supica & Nahas. You can pick one up on Amazon for around $25 and it's money well spent.
