Early 44 Magnum
S130847, shipped on January 31, 1956 (one of the first six 44 Magnums shipped by S&W and one of the first seven made) to Charles Connors, head of the S&W Sales Group in the Midwest. This 44 Magnum became Mr. Connors' personal gun and was kept by him for over forty years before being sold in 1996. The smooth stocks are replacements for the originals which are separated from the revolver.

That's got to be earliest one I've seen with one exception I have seen the toolroon gun on this fourm. It is sweet, the condition is mint from the picture. I have one Ser# S166XXX haven't lettered it yet but it's on the short list. It has some honest wear I'd rate it about 85%. The cokes have the original owners SSN engraved in the back. They are in good shape no cracks or chips. The quality of those early 29's are outstanding!! Thanks for sharing that one.
