They aren't made any longer. So, you'll have to find them here in the classifieds, on fleabay or on one of the auction sites.

Search eBay for grips first. You'll be amazed at the number of S&W grips for sale. After that, try Gunbroker. com, Guns International and Guns America. Also, Google "Smith & Wesson Magna grips". If you find a pair of pre-war Magnas just call me first.....

Welcome to the forum from the Wiregrass! Looks like a .32 Hand Ejector Model 1903 also known as the .32 HE, 2nd model. The 2nd model was made 1903-4 and yours was likely shipped in 1904. It's in pretty rough condition to be collectible, but should be a good shooter if the mechanics are good.

Thank you sir. It could use some tlc for sure. It has been in a sock inside gun safe for a good 25 - 35 years (judging from the sock; knee length twin horizontal stripes). A good clean & polish is in order.

How old is my .32 long ctg? The family story is that great grandfather carried it as local police chief in the 20s or 30s. Serial number: 36 25xx
Any idea of value?

Welcome to the Forum.
Is this number taken from the butt of the revolver? That's where the official serial number is located.
What is the barrel length; finish, blue or nickel; type of grips, etc?
Pictures would be very helpful.
Value depends mostly of condition and rarity.

Welcome to the forum. We will indeed need to know more than just that it shoots the 32 Long Cartridge, as more than one S&W model does.
The serail # probably denotes an I frame size gun from 1920s production but actual model can only be determined by the location of that # and the other things Muley Gil requested, especially for a value.
Was the # on the grip forestrap behind the trigger guard or from the gun butt?

S&W 32 long 4-inch barrel
I have a S&W 32 long 4-inch barrel in excellent blued condition the serial number is 294131 on butt bottom and on back side of cylinder. Looks like someone took it out of a collection no pits, scratches or damage of any kind. Any idea of its value?

I'd make a stab at 1918 +/-
Value is very much dependent on condition, rarity, and to some degree on location. If you start a new thread, you'll get more responses and I'm sure someone can give you a better answer..

Welcome to the forum.
I agree, you should start a new thread for your gun and get more responses.

I am 90% sure the gun has been refinished. Your picture is very dark, but it clearly shows the barrel marking that looks like every letter has rounded polished edges. The bluing also looks very dark as well. If refinished, value would be in the low $200 range.
A new thread with more and better pictures would be a great help in determining finish and condition.

In any event, I'd probably not refinish. I tend to keep the guns I acquire in their current condition and enjoy their character...
You can never tell what a gun will be worth in the future, but you do know that it is rare and IF IN IT'S ORIGIONAL CONDITION it's collectable. Refinished, not so much.
The degree to which this revolver had decayed will dictate a very aggressive polish to remove pitting and I don't think you will be happy with an overly polished result with rounded edges, dished screw ports and lost markings....

Poster said that the whole thing was varnished, much of the bad condition might be attributed to that. I worry he may think that going over it with fine sandpaper might be considered to be "cleaning it up", just going after the rust, right? Kinda doubt he has even the proper screwdriver to remove the grip panels. I can't remember ever dropping a gun, and I'm 67 years old. Won't someone please buy that old thing and take care of it? Don't mean to be harsh, after all, he did find this site, at least he cares. Feel free to hammer me for this post, I probably deserve it.

Welcome to the forum.
You have a K frame .32 Military & Police model with fixed sights, made approximately 1948. They were only made 1948 to 1950 so a little scarce.
I can't even hazard a guess w/o knowing the condition expressed as a percentage of originality or see a photo. For example, does the serial # on the back of the right grip match the gun?
The # in the yoke is only a random assembly # and not useful.

Follow Up Question
I have been reading this post and it is the closest I could find to also finding out which Colt I have. It is a .32 Long CTG with 6 inch barrel in immaculate shape. The serial numbers that are on the frame and the cylinder are 5215XX but nothing on the butt of the grip. Thoughts?

Welcome to the Forum.
If your revolver is a Colt, you should move this post to the Firearms and knives-other brands section.
