Serial Number/Production Date Book?
I know that there are various lists posted for looking up S&W serial numbers and production dates, etc., but is there a book (small handbook?) that can be purchased somewhere? I would like to keep it in my truck so if I happen upon a possible early hand ejector find, I can just look it up in the book.

'Fraid not. S&W kept track of shipping dates, not production dates. And then to really mess things up, the company didn't ship guns in order. The guns were stored in a vault and many times, it was last in, first out. I have a commercial 1917 that shipped many years later than similar guns with higher serial numbers.
